 Informal Retirement Plans (Savings Plans)

Revenue Canada extends preferential tax treatment to other employer sponsored plans. These plans are outside of the jurisdiction of the provincial pension regulators and OSFI. For the purpose of this seminar we will refer to these plans as Informal Retirement Plans. We offer the following types of plans:

  • Group RRSPs
  • Profit Sharing Plans (DPSPs and EPSPs)
  • Retirement Compensation Arrangements (RCA's)
Employers will want to register their employee savings plan with Revenue Canada in order to provide for the deduction from income of employee and/or employer contributions, and to defer the taxation of the investment income earned on the monies.
